Reason for a tempered glass screen protector

About the users of their mobile phones, numerous statistics inform us that “I have dropped my mobile phone” is the first cause of failure in them, with screen breakage being the most common consequence. And it is that mobile phones are already an inherent part of our lives and we can say that they behave as extensions of our body.

According to a study by Motorola, mobile phones continue to fall to the ground (at least 50% of the world’s population with access to a Smartphone has ever had the broken screen of the mobile phone in their life). Keep reading how to remove screen protector.

Where do they fall from?

On the one hand, from our pocket (32% of the falls come from here) and on the other and more importantly, one of every two occasions falls from our hands that is where they spend more time  Mary Meeker informs us that in Spain we spend 6.6 hours a day with the mobile).

That if WhatsApp, that if Instagram, that if selfie, that if Facebook either bad luck or misleading. The screen of our mobile is the most likely to crack. If we also tend to put it on our lap, even more, since when we get up … we know what happens: our mobile phone directly to the ground.

Another aspect to highlight is that the design is currently focused on lightening the weight and thickness of smartphones. The latter and together with the many ways in which it lands after the fall, make our mobiles less resistant and our screens are increasingly characterized by their fragility (especially if the impact reaches the LCD screen drama nothing cheap to repair).

Regarding this repair, the Motorola mentioned above study also reveals that “42% of people cite the high cost of repairs, so as not to take technical service (approximately 300 dollars in the case of Apple devices) and a 23% said they continued using even though the cracks and cracks reached the surface of the screen”.

Thickness

These protectors have a thickness of less than 5 mm. They are made of a tempered glass whose hardness and characteristics allow scratch resistance. We already know that our phones spend a lot of time also in our pockets and bags surrounded by keys, etc. It absorbs much of the impact energy while cracking into a thousand pieces without the screen of our mobile is affected. This quality is not provided by plastic protective sheets.

Another difference is that tempered glass allows the finger to slide more smoothly across the screen, gaining in quality of use and getting very close to the touch of the original screen. The plastic, wrinkles, folds, rises at the edges.

Visually and hygienically, tempered glass offers us anti-reflective and oleophobic treatment. On the one hand, it protects our vision, and on the other, we prevent fingerprints or other fat droplets from sticking together.

As for the installation, the plastic sheets are uncomfortable and usually leave bubbles on the screen, annoying for both use and aesthetics. However, the tempered glass only requires that the screen is well cleaned, clear a part of the adhesive and drop it on the screen as we remove that protector.

In this way, it is fixed and without bubbles. In addition, we are fortunate that these protectors can be installed in several attempts. If it happens in the first attempt, we do not manage to correctly place the protector. We can lift it completely and replace it again. In general, it does not happen with plastic protectors.
